Josh has spent his career focused on the intersection of machine learning, product, and life sciences/healthcare.

Prior to Inductive, Josh was the Director of Product for the ML and data curation organizations at Flatiron Health, where his teams worked to generate real-world evidence (RWE) at scale across Flatiron’s network of over 2 million active cancer patients for use by researchers in pharma, academia, and government.

Prior to Flatiron, Josh was at MIT studying computer science and working with researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital to use ML and NLP to predict patient response to cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Ben has more than a decade of experience leading teams applying state-of-the-art machine learning to real-world problems. Before Inductive, Ben was a Senior Director of Engineering at Flatiron Health, where he led the company’s development of ML algorithms and infrastructure to make sense out of hundreds of millions of electronic health records.

Previously he was at Google, where he built ML systems for natural language understanding in Search. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Washington, where he researched and published on topics in the mathematical theory of algorithms and in applied machine learning and human-computer interaction.

Alex is a medicinal chemist passionate about drug discovery! Over almost two decades in the industry, he has contributed to more than a dozen development candidates, two of which have reached registration trials in the clinic. Before joining Inductive Bio, Alex was VP, Head of Chemistry at Relay Therapeutics, where the team integrated traditional medicinal chemistry approaches with predictive ADME and potency models into the identification of development candidates. He has worked across multiple small molecule classes and mechanisms of action, including reversible, covalent, chaperone, degrader, and macrocyclic peptides. Alex got his start in industry at Constellation Pharmaceuticals, applying fragment based drug design to the creation of selective bromodomain inhibitors, in collaboration with Genentech.

Before becoming a medicinal chemist, Alex completed his Ph.D. studies at Harvard University with Stuart Schreiber and was a postdoctoral fellow at MIT in the lab of Steve Buchwald. He did undergraduate research at Vanderbilt University with Ned Porter and was a Fulbright Scholar at the Universität Basel with Bernd Giese. Outside of work, Alex loves running along the Charles River and cheering for the Celtics with his family.

Paul is an accomplished medicinal chemist in the neuroscience area, having led multidisciplinary scientific teams that delivered 8 clinical candidates. After 28 years at Eli Lilly, he joined the Roosevelt University College of Pharmacy, and after 5 years, he moved to the Medical College of Wisconsin Pharmacy School.

His research efforts resulted in 57 issued US patents, 121 peer-reviewed publications, and 55 invited lectures on his research around the world. He has a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Kerry is a medicinal chemist with deep expertise in synthetic organic chemistry and small-molecule drug discovery from hit identification through lead optimization. Prior to joining Inductive Bio, she contributed to multiple discovery programs at Johnson & Johnson as a medicinal chemist and series lead and served as a key liaison for integrating machine-learning-driven molecular design into discovery efforts.

Kerry earned her PhD in organic chemistry in Prof. Justin Du Bois’s lab at Stanford and conducted research for several years in Nobel Laureate Prof. Robert Grubbs’s lab at Caltech. Her work has appeared in Nature, Nature Chemistry, and Nature Protocols and has resulted in over 20 patents. She is also a contributing writer at DrugHunter, translating complex drug discovery science into accessible insights for the R&D community.

Mike is an experienced medicinal chemist who was recently a customer of Inductive Bio — a testament to his belief in the strength of the platform. He has nearly three decades of experience across big pharma and biotech, contributing from bench research to project leadership on multiple development candidates in diabetes, immunology, and oncology. Before joining, Mike was Senior Director at Delphia Therapeutics, where the team integrated traditional medicinal chemistry with predictive ADME models to explore activation lethality. His career spans Bayer Pharmaceuticals, where he delivered a clinical asset for VEGFR; Boehringer Ingelheim, where his most advanced program targeted BTK for Lupus; Blueprint Medicines, working on a Roche immuno-oncology collaboration; and Ikena Oncology, where he developed a MEK/RAF clinical asset as a molecular glue. Mike completed his graduate studies at the University of Calgary.

John is a drug discovery scientist with over a decade of experience designing molecules for complex therapeutic targets. He has significant experience with various screening methodologies including DEL, covalent, and fragment based approaches; prior to Inductive, he led a molecular design team focused on validating hits generated from the screening platform at Terray Therapeutics. John got his start in industry at Amgen, where he worked across multiple therapeutic areas culminating in leading the chemistry team that discovered AMG193, a PRMT5 oncology asset that reached Phase II. John then brought his late-stage optimization skills to MOMA Therapeutics where he contributed to the efficient discovery of multiple clinical candidates. As a Medicinal Chemist at Inductive, John applies his passion for structure based design, computation, and synthetic chemistry to drug discovery. Outside of work, you'll find him cooking and chasing his kids.

Lizbeth C. DeSelm is an accomplished medicinal chemist with over 20 years of experience in drug discovery, spanning small molecules, PROTACs, and macrocycles. She has co-authored 17 patents and publications and contributed to the nomination of five clinical candidates across oncology, immunology, and inflammation. Throughout her career, Lizbeth has successfully driven cross-functional program to success, while managing multi-million dollar CRO accounts. Currently serving as the Partnerships Lead at Inductive Bio, she leverages her deep scientific expertise and strategic leadership to bridge advanced computational technologies with critical drug discovery pipelines.

Bryce brings 10+ years of experience applying state-of-the-art machine learning to highly technical domains. Bryce most recently was a Principal Machine Learning engineer at Butterfly Network, a major medical ultrasound vendor, where he led a successful collaboration with the Gates Foundation and UNC to develop groundbreaking AI-enabled prenatal screening tools for low-resource settings.

Bryce has previously built and led product-focused data science and machine learning teams at several startups in radiology, legaltech, and financial services, and has an MBA from Oxford University.

Prior to joining Inductive as a Product Scientist, Gaby was a computational chemist at Relay Therapeutics, where she integrated machine learning, physics-based methods, and PK/PD modeling to guide lead optimization – improving safety profiles and lowering projected human doses across programs.

Gaby graduated from the Joint Carnegie Mellon - University of Pittsburgh Ph.D. Program in Computational Biology, and her work has been featured in PLoS Computational Biology, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Molecular Biology, and PRX Life.

Wayne brings a highly multidisciplinary background spanning molecular biology, data analytics, and biopharma strategy. Most recently, he worked at a L.E.K. Consulting where he helped build the real-world data practice and led analytics engagements addressing a wide range of healthcare and life sciences questions.

Through this work, Wayne partnered closely with diverse stakeholders across pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations, translating complex scientific and analytical findings into clear insights for teams spanning research, clinical development, commercial strategy, and executive leadership.

Wayne received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and a master’s degree in Computational Medicine from the University of Michigan. His work has been published in Cell Metabolism, Cell Reports, and Autophagy.

Tim is a cheminformatics scientist building tools that help drug discovery teams unlock faster, deeper insights from complex data. He started his career as a medicinal chemist working across multiple disease areas and grew into coding to build the kinds of analyses and tools he wished had been available to him at the bench. Most recently he was a Scientific Analyst at Relay Therapeutics, where he built and maintained the informatics tools and data pipelines used by teams across the research organization. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Northeastern University.

Nishant is a software engineer with a decade of experience building systems that enable scientific research, bridging computation and human physiology throughout his career.

Before joining Inductive, Nishant spent nine years at CTRL-Labs, a neural interfaces startup acquired by Meta, where his work was published in Nature and later shipped as the Meta Neural Band. He went on to become a Senior Staff Engineer at Meta.

Before CTRL-Labs, Nishant graduated from Harvard College with a double major in Computer Science and Molecular & Cellular Biology.

Andrew is a life sciences leader with over 15 years of experience in drug development. Most recently, Andrew oversaw the commercial organization at PicnicHealth, an AI real-world data company serving the evidence needs of leading biopharma.

Previously, he advised biotech and pharma on key preclinical and clinical development strategies to accelerate and maximize the impact of new therapeutics. Andrew is a trained chemist who completed his postdoctoral fellowship and Ph.D. at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Cellular and Molecular Medicine.

Shannon is a software engineer focused on building systems that advance scientific and clinical insight. Before joining Inductive Bio, she spent a decade at Flatiron Health developing real‑world data products that power cancer research and precision medicine, leading cross‑functional teams across oncology, data science, and engineering. She previously built learning and clinical platforms at Amplify and Mount Sinai. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana‑Champaign with a minor in Mathematics.

Lynn brings over a decade of business development experience at the intersection of biotech, pharma, and contract research. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Business Development at BioDuro and Charles River Laboratories, where he built deep partnerships across the drug discovery ecosystem spanning discovery biology, DMPK, proteomics, and gene delivery. He has a strong track record of translating scientific insight into commercial impact with a broad network across the biotech community. Originally from Minnesota, Lynn holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCLA.

Krysta is a Talent Acquisition Partner with over a decade of experience helping startups build exceptional teams. She partners closely with founders to develop recruiting strategies, scalable hiring systems, and employer brands that attract top talent. A versatile operator, Krysta also enjoys solving broader people and operational challenges that help organizations grow. With a background in education, she brings a coaching mindset to her work, creating thoughtful candidate experiences and building resources, processes, and cultures that help teams do their best work.

Patrick has extensive experience building high-performance machine learning models for scientific problems. Prior to Inductive, he was a Principal Deep Learning Engineer at Butterfly where he built FDA-approved computer vision models for reading medical ultrasound images in real-time on mobile hardware.

He has a PhD in experimental condensed matter physics from Columbia University, where he studied quantum transport in organic semiconductors. His work has been published in top journals and conferences including ICLR, Science, and Nature.

Drew earned his PhD from the Joint Carnegie Mellon University–University of Pittsburgh Program in Computational Biology. He specializes in representation learning for protein–ligand interactions, with a focus on structure-based methods. His work spans virtual screening, molecular docking, and binding-affinity prediction. Drew is first author of GNINA 1.0: Molecular Docking with Deep Learning, one of the earliest rigorous evaluations of convolutional neural network scoring functions within modern docking pipelines.

Duncan brings rich interdisciplinary experience in the computational and experimental sides of biochemistry and drug discovery. During his Ph.D. at UCSF, he used high-throughput microfluidics and machine learning to dissect the sequence-function relationships in enzymes. His work has been featured in Science, Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, and Journal of General Physiology.

Prior to UCSF, he worked at Relay Therapeutics, where he discovered novel drug binding sites through X-ray crystallography and fragment screening, while also developing software to automate storage and analysis of protein-ligand structural data.

Nic is a computational chemist, machine learning enthusiast, and evangelist for the Free Drug Hypothesis. Prior to joining Inductive Bio, Nic led computational lead-optimization activities at Relay Therapeutics, where he supported DC Nominations in multiple oncology and genetic disease programs. His team leveraged physics-based, ML-based, and PK/PD modeling to optimize projected human dose and safety profile for reversible & covalent inhibitors, activating chaperones, and heterobiofunctional degraders.

Nic graduated from the Joint Carnegie Mellon - University of Pittsburgh Ph.D. Program in Computational Biology, and his work has featured in Nature, PLOS Computational Biology, AI in the Life Sciences, and several small molecule patents.

Sharang Phadke is a product leader with over a decade of experience building AI- and data-driven healthcare products.

Before Inductive Bio, he led the AI team at RadAI, where his team built tools now used by more than 20% of U.S. radiologists to reduce reporting errors and increase efficiency. Previously at Flatiron Health, Sharang helped launch a machine-learning–curated cancer outcomes database, unlocking new research opportunities for biopharma.

Sharang holds a BSE in Electrical Engineering from The Cooper Union.

Raahul is an experienced life science technology entrepreneur. Before joining Inductive, Raahul was a Senior Associate at Roivant Sciences where he built and scaled health tech and biotech startups through de novo company creation, acquisitions, and partnerships/co-builds. He was most recently embedded at VantAI, an AI drug discovery company developing induced proximity therapeutics, where he drove strategic finance and business development.

Previously, he was at Hunniwell Lake Ventures where he invested in robotic surgery startups. Raahul holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Alex's experience spans the theory and practice of building trustworthy and robust machine learning systems. Before Inductive, Alex was a Staff Data Scientist at Flatiron Health, where he built ML models for patient risk stratification and electronic health records research, as well as frameworks for model evaluation and bias correction.

He has a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from New York University, where his research in the shared statistical biases of human and machine learning was published in journals such as Nature Machine Intelligence.

Josh is a computational and medicinal chemist who has driven small-molecule programs from hit identification through lead optimization across a range of target classes and modalities. Prior to joining Inductive Bio, he was Associate Director of Chemistry, CADD at Delphia Therapeutics, where he was an early customer of Inductive Bio's platform and saw firsthand the impact it had on the team's design and triage work. He led structure-based design and QSAR modeling efforts at Delphia, and his previous programs have been licensed to Boehringer Ingelheim and Biogen. Josh earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry at Pennsylvania State University and completed his postdoctoral research at the University of Pittsburgh.

Caleb is a generalist software engineer with experience across distributed systems, infrastructure, fullstack applications, and compilers. Prior to Inductive, Caleb worked at Figma where he worked on AI Infrastructure helping launch Figma's flagship AI products, Make and Assistant. He also worked on Figma's government cloud offering and scaling the internal CI/CD systems. Previously at Meta, Caleb worked on GraphQL contributing to the language spec and building a GraphQL runtime for mobile platforms. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Southern California.

Anh is a drug discovery leader and medicinal chemist with over 20 years of experience advancing small-molecule programs from target validation through clinical candidate nomination. She has led and contributed to the discovery of four small-molecule drug candidates that advanced into clinical trials at Neuron23, Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, Alios BioPharma (acquired by Janssen), and Elan Pharmaceuticals. Her work has resulted in 20 patents and patent applications, as well as 27 peer-reviewed publications. Anh earned her Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Utah under Professor Gary Keck. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and exploring new cuisines.

Jessie has spent her decade-plus career focused on designing experiences in heavily regulated industries and developing high-performing teams. Prior to Inductive, Jessie led the product design team at Flatiron Health where she and her team developed products and services to support life science companies in leveraging real-world evidence, built point-of-care tools for oncologists, and designed solutions to accelerate clinical trial recruitment. Before that, Jessie did stints as a designer at various advertising and media companies and holds a bachelors in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley.

Spanning a decade at companies like GoPro and Meta, Daniel has brought cutting-edge ML to user-facing products across vision, natural language, and audio.

At Meta, Daniel worked on Llama 4, helping bring multimodal capabilities to the LLMs that benefit billions of users, trained and delivered end-to-end generative music models, and engineered vision models and AR experiences for the Portal videoconferencing device.

Previously, Daniel worked on photo and video understanding models at GoPro and Lumific (acquired by GoPro). Daniel holds a PhD in natural language processing from the University of Sydney.

Alexander is a generalist software engineer with over 10 years of experience at Palantir where he worked across every platform, i.e. Gotham, Foundry, and Apollo, both as an individual contributor and team lead. He worked on products in various domains including fraud detection, point-and-click data analytics, software continuous delivery and observability, performance optimization, platform security, multitenancy, data integration infrastructure, and more.

Edward is a machine learning scientist and engineer focused on building cutting-edge tools for small molecule drug discovery. Prior to Inductive, he was a Senior ML Engineer at Terray Therapeutics, where he worked on chemical foundation model research, inference infrastructure, and collaborated closely with medicinal chemistry teams to advance discovery programs. Before that, he worked in Amgen’s Computational and Data Sciences group building ADMET modeling infrastructure and physics-based potency estimation tools. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Brown University.

Wendy is a biotechnology, pharma, and life science executive with more than 30 years of experience in the discovery and development of novel therapeutics. She was formerly the Senior Vice President at Genentech, where she actively built and led the small molecule drug discovery organization and co-led research. Under her leadership, more than 25 clinical candidates, in the areas of oncology, immunology, neurology, and anti-infectives, progressed into development. Additionally, Wendy led the BTK discovery program and is co-inventor of fenebrutinib.

Prior to Genentech she held senior drug discovery leadership roles at J&J and Celera Genomics. She currently serves as an advisor to Google Ventures and is an associate editor of the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry. She received her Ph.D. in chemistry from Princeton University and was an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellow at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Andrew has served in multiple senior scientific roles, including VP of Computational Chemistry at Expansion Therapeutics, Senior Director of CADD / cheminformatics at C4 Therapeutics, and Distinguished Scientific fellow at Genzyme. Andrew is a co-inventor on 14 projects that have led to IND candidate nomination including the HCV drugs Daclatasvir and Asunaprevir, resulting in a 2017 ACS heroes of chemistry award.

He has pioneered several widely applied CADD techniques, including pharmacophore constraint usage, 3D pharmacophore fingerprints and Gaussian function approximations for molecular similarity calculations. Andrew has authored over 100 research articles and is a co-inventor on more than 50 patents.

Dr. Ankit Mahadevia is a physician–entrepreneur and biotechnology executive with extensive experience in company formation, capital strategy, and clinical advancement. He currently serves as a CXO at Curie Bio, where he works closely with founding teams on corporate strategy, financing, and progression to human clinical trials.

Dr. Mahadevia has co-founded nine biotechnology companies, six of which were acquired in transactions collectively valued at more than $5 billion. Across companies he has led, advised, or supported, more than $1 billion in financing has been raised. He serves as a board member of Judo Bio and advises multiple early- and growth-stage life sciences companies. He earned a BA in economics and biology, summa cum laude, from Northwestern University, an MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and an MBA in healthcare management from the Wharton School.

Mark is a leader in applying computational and statistical techniques to biomedical challenges in genomics and biochemistry. He is currently CEO and Co-Founder of BigHat Biosciences. Prior to that, he founded the Genomics team in Google Brain, was VP of Informatics at SynapDx, and was Co-Director of Medical and Population Genetics at the Broad Institute.

He has a BA in CS and Math from Northwestern, a PhD in Biochemistry from Cambridge as a Marshall Scholar, and was a Damon Runyon Cancer Research Fellow at Harvard. Dr. DePristo's academic articles are widely published with more than 110,000 citations.

Paul's career spans 40 years, building and growing global sales, marketing and service operations in computational chemistry and discovery informatics companies. His background encompasses leadership roles at Oxford Molecular and Accelrys (now Biovia), Oxford Drug Discovery and at the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre. He was founder & CEO at the machine learning based IT security company Secerno (acquired by Oracle). He spent several years as Executive Vice President, Sales, at Schrödinger, a leader in computational chemistry, where he built business operations around the world.

Paul is currently Chief Business Officer at X-Chem, the pioneer in DNA-encoded library screening. He holds a chemistry degree from Oxford University and an MBA.
